BOOK 1
Throughout the Bible is a crimson thread that begins in Genesis and continues to Revelation. It starts subtly with Adam and Eve, is expounded more in the books of Moses, is there behind the scenes in the rest of the Old Testament and is fully revealed with Jesus on the cross.
It is the Crimson Gift, the blood of Jesus. Leviticus 17:11 says that the life of the flesh is in the blood. When we study and fully understand what blood does in the body, we can better understand what the spiritual blood of Jesus has done, is doing and will do for us continually. Come explore with me this precious Crimson Gift.
BOOK 2
Our Founder’s Wisdom explores the people in our lives that we trust for information, the people that we elevate to expert status whether they deserve it or not. If we are honest, we find that many maybe even most fail us at some point because they are fallible and cannot know everything.
The Founding Fathers of our nation knew that they could not rely on mankind to always do right. They saw the shortcomings in each other, the changeable nature of man, the tendency toward pride, greed, anger, mob mentality and so forth. They chose a less volatile, more consistent, more solid foundation. They chose to seek God and the Bible for guidance for our nation. They had their differences, but they generally respected the Bible. They felt it was the best source of information about God and His creation. Was their choice real Wisdom?
BOOK 3
Heaven or Hell . The Bible tells us The Lord …… is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (II Pet 3:9 NKJV)
At the same time, though, it says .. wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are few who find it. (Matt 7:13-14 NKJV)
If I read the Bible correctly, it appears that most of the world’s population is going to the bad place and only a few to Heaven. Why is that? This book explores possible reasons and what both Heaven and Hell might be like
BOOK 4
The Quilt. Grandma McIntyre collected worthless pieces of cloth, cut them to the sizes she needed, and stitched them together to make quilts.
She then gave them away to her grandchildren to keep them warm on those chilly winter nights. She turned worthless scraps into beautiful, valuable, and treasured mementos of her love.
God does the same thing. He takes the good, the bad, and the ugly in our lives and “stitches” those experiences into a life “quilt” part of the tapestry of love to all those who will believe in Him.
BOOK 4
One summer many years ago, I believed in and taught an evolutionary biology course. In that class a young man asked me why he had to learn evolution because he did not believe in it. His question provoked me to study all the evidence proving evolution was true. To my surprise I could not find even one piece of evidence that could stand up to scrutiny and absolutely prove evolution true. I realized that I believed in evolution not because of evidence but because they told me it was true. That was not good enough. In fact, I concluded that the facts were much better explained in terms of a creator God. I found many scientists with earned degrees much higher than mine that came to the same conclusion. By an evolutionary process I became a creationist. I invite you the explore the pages of this book to learn what I found out.
